Saint Lawrence and the Holy Grail

© Lawrence Klimecki

As the treasurer of the early Church, guardian of the church’s material wealth, it is a logical conclusion that Lawrence would have been responsible for safeguarding the cup Our Lord used at the “Last Supper.”
Author Janice Bennett explores this idea in her book, St. Laurence and the Holy Grail. It is a fascinating read not only for grail enthusiasts but also for those interested in the life and martyrdom of Lawrence as it publishes some of the earliest written accounts of his passion.

In honor of the feast day of Saint Lawrence I have also posted a bonus excerpt from the upcoming Book of Saints along with a preliminary sketch of the artwork on the book’s website here.
